What I've Been Up To

Knitting:

I just finished a wonderful three week beginning lace class at Hillsborough Yarn shop, taught by Gali, a/k/a firetweed. I learned a lot and finished a lace scarf – photos to follow.
Thus inspired, or maybe crazed by the PHILLIES WINNING THE WORLD SERIES, I decided my next lace project after the beginners’ scarf would be . . . .

Yeah, THAT looks easy, eh?  Last night I learned a new cast-on and started with the casting on and the first tiny row of nine stitches.
I have too many WIPs.

Travel: went to McClellanville, South Carolina and had a wonderful time.
Election – in great suspense these final days.
Back to work for now . . .

How do you convert a double-pointed cuff down sock pattern

to a toe up magic loop pattern?

The endless piece of writing

The thing I’m writing at work is now up to 37 pages.
I’m starting to think it will never be finished.
Gripe.
Complain.
Bellyache.
