Cafe au Lait, from the Unique Sheep

I love this colorway – it’s like a lineup of all the colors that I look good in!

Celebration of a (Finally!!) Finished Object

Well, it’s June 21, Midsummer’s Eve, and I have finally succeeded in keeping a New Year’s resolution to start finishing my UFO’s in the knitting basket. This is a wretched picture of me, but the scarf turned out quite nicely. I gave it to my dad when I took him out for a Father’s Day brunch.

I am inordinately pleased at completing this. Now I can move on to the next!

Thanks to this Book Review by Painty of The Unique Sheep, I discovered The Daily Chum, described as a “daily dose of fibermania.”

Making Plans

So, next week I might to to the Clearwater Festival in Croton-on-Hudson, New York. My Aunt Judy lives there and has kindly offered to let me stay with them. I made a webpage of the Performersand it’s a great lineup!

One problem is that it’s 540 miles away –
awfully far to drive just to be somewhere 2 days.

One solution is to take the train!
Then I can rest, knit, and get there in about the same amount of time.
